Progression Passports

Friday 7th November 2008 saw the launch of the 2008 edition of the GMWL skills passport.

The passport has evolved and gone through a number of changes since its introduction in 2007. The biggest change being the introduction of a second passport that is aimed solely at those undertaking an apprenticeship or advanced apprenticeship.

The standard progression passport has also changed as it now features all four strands offered by the LLN are now included and this means a wide range of courses are featured, all designed to meet the needs of learners!

The passport is integral to the LLN’s guidance for progression for learners and the document is part of an engaging process for learners, also involving visit days to Edge Hill University’s Ormskirk campus to get an insight into what University life is like and also to offer them a better understanding of the courses they are interested in.

The new apprentice passport has been produced in collaboration with Aimhigher St Helens. The innovative and engaging passport is just another example of how the GMWL LLN is striving to meet to the needs of a wide range of learners

The passport has been planned and designed by Kerrie Jones and Rachael Farley, IAG officers for the GMWL LLN.
