This two year course is designed to kick start your career in coaching by giving you the practical skills and experience, combined with relevant theoretical knowledge to make it in the sports industry.

Whether you are an experienced coach looking to develop your skills, or someone new to the industry, this course is just what you need to achieve your goals.

On graduation of this course you will be entitled to progress onto the final year of the BSC (Hons) in Coaching and Performance Development at Edge Hill University.

Tourism, Hospitality, Sport and Active Leisure is one of four strands/subject areas in which GM&WL LLN is developing qualifications.

The network includes a sub-group – chaired by Janet Trigg from Wirral Metropolitan College - dedicated to progressing vocational qualifications in conjunction with all partner institutions and employer groups.

A range of potential qualifications are currently being considered for validation and delivery, such as Foundation Degrees in Sports Coaching; Sports Development; and Sport and exercise Science.
